Unfortunately, here in Colorado, painting the exterior of your home isn’t an improvement project you can tackle any time of year. Exterior painting companies typically don’t send contractors up a wet, icy ladder in the middle of the winter.

If you’ve lived in the Denver for any extended period of time, you likely already know the weather can be temperamental. There’s always the occasional surprise snow or rain and there are a few things exterior painting companies do to ensure the final product is exactly what our clients are looking for.

Planning Ahead

Of course, we’re always keeping an eye on the weather forecasts. Unlike other contractors, Paint Denver will not schedule a job on a certain day if we foresee any issues in the perfect completion of your project. No one wants to live with a half-painted house or property for weeks.

Additionally, we prioritize excellence above all else. We will communicate with you ahead of any projects to ensure you’re aware of any changes that may come about as a result of unexpected weather.

Years of Experience

The good news is that the team at Paint Denver has over 20 years of experience managing home improvement and industry paint projects for our clients. In these situations, our team is able to take all variables into account in order to get your paint project up and moving again.

Clients often ask how soon after a rain or snowstorm we can get back to work. The answer varies depending on humidity, dew point, temperature, wind, paint color and the product that is used.

Under normal circumstances, paints can withstand a shower or two after about 4 hours of drying time. The gutters are at the highest risk, though. As water runs through the gutters, big pools can collect underneath and, if paint hasn’t had sufficient time to dry, this can turn into a total mess. This also goes for melting snow.

High humidity, dark colorants, cool temperatures and reaching the dew point all tend to slow up the drying time. These are all the kinds of variables we take into account with unexpected weather.

A Guarantee

Painting any kind of property is a major investment and, if something doesn’t go as planned, we never want our clients to leave unsatisfied. That’s why Paint Denver offers a warrantee for our projects.

For a period of 24 months from the date of completion of the work described on the front of your contract, we will repair peeling, blistering, or chipping paint resulting from defective workmanship!

Fresh Paint for Every Season

While we can’t rely on the weather to cooperate, you can rely on Paint Denver to get the job done right. If you’re looking to tackle these paint projects year-round, you’re in luck. We manage our interior projects during the cold months to ensure our clients can move forward on their projects throughout the year.
