Interior Painting Trends

When it comes to interior home design, few things can set the mood of a room more than the wall color. Interior house painting can be anxiety-inducing, from painting test strips to compiling color swatches. Getting the correct interior painting company is another story.

If you’re looking for bold new paint ideas for this year, here are some of the biggest interior paint trends of 2019.

Olive Green Interior PaintingOlive Green

Olive is a timeless and versatile color that pairs well with neutrals and bright saturated colors for a fun and energetic space. Green adds a lushness that makes a great statement and a sophisticated visual point of interest. An olive green interior paint is perfect for a dining room or cozy office. This interior painting trend adds a peaceful yet rich and serene mood to your home.

Bronze Interior PaintingRich Bronze

Rich bronze and clay colors are an up and coming trend for interior paint. They add a modern and industrial context to your home with drama and warmth at the same time. These hues pair well in dining rooms, bedrooms, and sunrooms due to its warm, outdoor-inspired hue. This interior painting trend adds visual interest and personality to small spaces.

White interior PaintingWhite

White paint is still in. It’s a timeless classic that continues to dominate. This interior paint trend is perfect for farmhouse trends that are returning this year. It’s also very easy to pair décor with a white background. If you have an accent color, a white wall will make the other color pop.

Case Study: Painting in Platte Park

Platte Park Case Study: Before

In collaboration with the Guy Team of Remax of Cherry Creek, Paint Denver was enlisted to help sell a property in the Platte Park neighborhood of Denver. The Guy Team took over the listing from a previous agent, who had listed the property at $498,000.

After 93 days on the market, there had been no sale.

The team took over the listing property and immediately called Paint Denver to freshen up the interior as well as hire a professional to stage the property. The Guy Team dropped the list price to $485,000.

Within 13 days of the painting, staging, and price drop the property was under contract.

Platte Park Case Study: After

Just a few months prior, a similar unit (300 square feet less) across the hall had been sold. This property had not been painted or staged and sold for $405,000.

This is just one example of the difference a fresh coat of interior paint can make on a home’s selling price. For a relatively small investment up front, the return in the form of a higher selling price is well worth it.
